Fall mini sessions
Autumn, and
your family
as it is now.
Montréal · Sunday 27 September
One afternoon in Montréal
Six families,
twenty minutes each.
La Toundra, Parc Jean-Drapeau. Sunday 27 September, between three and six in the afternoon.
Mini sessions are short by design. There is no long build up and no list of poses to work through. You arrive, we walk a little, the children do what children do, and I photograph it.
Late September on Île Notre-Dame is the reason for the date. By four o’clock the light is coming in low across the water, and the trees around La Toundra are still holding their colour.
It is the simplest way to end the year with a photograph of everyone together. Cards, a print for the wall, something for the grandparents.

Please arrive five minutes before your time. The afternoon is booked back to back, so a session that starts late still has to finish on time. You choose your slot in the booking calendar.

How it works
From booking
to gallery.
Four steps, and none of them takes long.
Book your time
Choose a start time in the calendar and pay to confirm it. A short note follows with what to wear and exactly where to meet.
Meet at La Toundra
1 Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, on Île Notre-Dame. There is parking on the island, and Jean-Drapeau metro is a short walk away.
Twenty minutes
We walk, you talk to each other, I stay out of the way. Two or three set ups at most, and one frame with everyone looking.
Your gallery
Ten edited photographs within two weeks, in a private gallery you can download and share. The print credit is waiting there.

Questions
Before you book.
01How many people can come?
Up to five people. That is usually two parents and up to three children, but any combination of five works. Larger groups need a full family session rather than a mini, because twenty minutes is not enough time to photograph everyone properly.
02What if it rains?
Grey skies and light rain are usually fine, and often better than bright sun, so the afternoon goes ahead. If the weather makes photographs genuinely impossible I will move the whole day to a rain date and tell everyone as early in the week as I can.
03When will I get the photographs?
Within two weeks. You will get a link to a private gallery holding ten edited high resolution files, ready to download and keep. That leaves plenty of time before the holidays.
04Can I buy the rest of the photographs?
Yes. Every frame worth keeping goes into the gallery, not only the ten. You can add more at any point in the year that follows, and the gallery stays open for that whole year.
05How does the print credit work?
You will receive a $20 print coupon that you can use on your online gallery towards prints, albums or framed work.
06What should we wear?
Soft, plain colours in tones that sit near each other, and layers, since late September on the island is colder than the city. Avoid large logos and strong patterns. I send a short guide once you have booked.
07Can we bring the dog?
Yes, as long as they are good on a lead and someone can hold them between frames. Tell me when you book so I can plan for it.
08Is this the same as a full family session?
No. A mini is short and made for one strong set of portraits on a single afternoon. If you want more time, more than one location, or a session at home, a full family session is the better fit.
